The 15^th Annual Edwardian Christmas Tea will be held at Fulford Place on Saturday, November 21, 2009. This delicious annual holiday tradition includes an elegant afternoon tea, a self-guided tour of the mansion and musical entertainment.

Tour the seasonally decorated rooms throughout the mansion – with an emphasis this year on ornaments from the early 1900s. A highlight is the elegant burgundy tapered runner adorning the dining table with three white and green floral arrangements as centerpieces. Tucked in between the assorted floral displays are candlesticks used by the Fulfords.

Also view trees adorned with vintage indented blown glass, tear drops and tinfoil decorations. Take note of the varied garlands with mercury glass, as well as the multicolored beads, raisins and nuts.

Throughout the afternoon, musicians Mary Comstock, Avalon, the Four Tune Seekers and Dublin Road will perform.

The Edwardian Christmas Tea is presented by the Friends of Fulford Place Association.

Fulford Place – a National Historic Site – is owned and operated by the Ontario Heritage Trust, an agency of the Government of Ontario, dedicated to identifying, preserving, protecting and promoting Ontario's heritage.

Book early for this popular seasonal event. Reserved seating is required (there will be four sittings starting at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., with costumed servers presenting assorted fancy sandwiches, Christmas delicacies and beverages). Tickets cost $15 per person. For reservations, call 613-498-3005 between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, November 2 to 20.
