EVENT Enjoy an Edwardian Christmas Tea at Fulford Place | ||
Saturday, November 21, 2009The 15th Annual Edwardian Christmas Tea will be held at Tour the seasonally decorated rooms throughout the mansion with an emphasis this year on ornaments from the early 1900s. A highlight is the elegant burgundy tapered runner adorning the dining table with three white and green floral arrangements as centerpieces. Tucked in between the assorted floral displays are candlesticks used by the Fulfords. Also view trees adorned with vintage indented blown glass, tear drops and tinfoil decorations. Take note of the varied garlands with mercury glass, as well as the multicolored beads, raisins and nuts. Throughout the afternoon, musicians Mary Comstock, Avalon, the Four Tune Seekers and The Edwardian Christmas Tea is presented by the Friends of Fulford Place Association. For more information about
Location:Tickets:Book early for this popular seasonal event. Reserved seating is required (there will be four sittings starting at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., with costumed servers presenting assorted fancy sandwiches, Christmas delicacies and beverages).
