Ontario Minister of Culture, David H. Tsubouchi, launched Heritage Week this year in Markham. Joining him for horse and buggy rides were, right, Foundation Board member Sis Bunting Weld and, centre, Foundation Executive Director Marjorie Mercer.

A popular face at many events is the town crier – who proclaimed the Heritage Week event officially begun in his own unique way.
