Heritage garden conservancy

George Brown House gardens, Toronto (25K)The Ontario Heritage Trust has established the Garden Conservancy Program at a time of tremendous growth in the fields of gardening and horticulture. It is one of the Trust's newest initiatives, designed to identify and promote awareness of significant historic landscapes and to conserve important examples of heritage gardens, civic spaces and cultural landscapes.

The garden work is comprised of restoration activities at Trust sites and in partnership with the University of Toronto and other owners and operators of gardens and civic spaces.
