Last Fatal Duel 1833, The

The participants in the last fatal duel fought in Upper Canada were two law students, John Wilson and Robert Lyon. Disparaging remarks by Lyon about Miss Elizabeth Hughes prompted the duel in which Lyon was mortally wounded.

Location In front of the Inderwick House where the wounded Lyon was taken, now the property of the Ontario Heritage Trust, 66 Craig Street, Perth
