Experience the elegance of the Edwardian era at the Ontario Heritage Centre. Built in 1909 for the Canadian Birkbeck Investment and Savings Company, this former financial building is ideally situated in Toronto’s downtown core. Carefully restored features include the wood-panelled Oval Boardroom, marble lobby and one of the last manually operated elevators in the city. The reception rooms are graced with decorative plaster, wood and ironwork, high ceilings and large windows that provide generous natural light. Combined with friendly, dedicated staff, this landmark building makes any gathering a memorable affair.

Rooms

This dramatic setting is ideal for receptions, weddings, product launches, media events and corporate special events for up to 150 people. (22K)The Gallery – Originally designed as an impressive banking hall, The Gallery retains a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Guests are greeted at a private entrance and ushered into a spacious two-storey atrium, linked to an upper mezzanine by a white marble staircase. Room configuration: The ideal number for stand-up cocktail receptions is 80-150 people. For corporate dinners, we can comfortably accommodate 100 guests (10 tables of 10 each).

For weddings, we recommend a maximum of 120 guests (12 tables of 10 each) for a plated dinner. Note: Two of the tables will need to be removed after the dinner to provide room for the dance floor.
