Located in Toronto's historic Corktown neighbourhood, this Victorian-era school offers a charming setting for events in the heart of the city. The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse was the first free school in Toronto and it is the oldest school still standing in the city. The original one-room school was built in 1848 and the adjoining West Hall was added in 1869. Today, these combined spaces make the Schoolhouse a unique and versatile venue for special events.
The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse offers the combined space of the Schoolroom, 32 feet by 34 feet (9.8m x 10.4 m), the Centre Hall, 27 feet by 27 feet (8.2 m x 8.2 m) and the West Hall, 48 feet by 48 feet (14.6 m x 14.6 m). The venue can be set with theatre-style seating or round tables, ideal for workshops, meetings, or community events up to 150 people.
